One Team. One Vision.... Week 14
Feel free to wear jeans with your Holiday attire! :) Thank you Holly again for putting this together!
We hope you have a fabulous 10 days of work before Christmas break! :)
Mrs. Fine --WOW--- you did a stellar job with your class. Seeing them spell (and be given a choice to write or type) the words you were reviewing with them using the phonic skills of the week was impressive. They did so well. Your integration of a mentor text to teach ellipses! While students wrote, you pulled guided reading and the others worked in stations! Way to go! Mrs. Wiggins also worked with a small guided reading group! Great job ladies!
Ms. Kopas' group worked hard as they tested their skills on the order of operations. They also requested the dice exit ticket as they returned back to their classes. Great job creating a hard working, safe learning environment, Mary! P.S. It is also amazing that you include children's literature in your lessons.
Our Pre-K Family Night was so fun! Our families enjoyed spending time together, exploring and creating. Thank you to our wonderful Pre-K team for being great hosts!
Thank you to Kathy for arranging for Brennan Bear Harmony to perform for our cougars. The choir really added to the holiday spirit, and it was amazing to see so much talent. Also great job to our cougars for being on their best behavior!
TTESS Look For's... 2.1 and 2.2
LOOK FOR'S- TTESS Walk throughs...
Some lookfors within these Dimensions- We are continuing with these Look for(s) as we go through the classrooms.. We will note on TTESS. Let us know if you have any questions.
- ELAR_ Students achieving expectations through gradual release. Think modeling during a read aloud- questioning, thinking aloud, collaborative conversations (with peers), deepening understanding of TEKs...
- Guided Reading (strategy group, guided reading, decoding group) in place and consistent for students as they are already in the groove of what you expect of them.
- Purposeful, TEKS focused stations embedding skill/TEK of the week, recursive review TEKS, in a higher order thinking/rigours way (think of stations we should have for each both ELAR and Math- stick to those)
