Willow Parent Bulletin #31
April 22, 2022
This and that...
We had our first out of the district field trip (in years) this week. I'm not sure who was more excited...staff or students. We are always limited in the number of chaperones and apologize for those who wanted to come and weren't chosen. Many asked about driving behind the bus, meeting at the location or bringing siblings. These are requests we cannot accommodate. We appreciate you following the guidelines the school gives as those apply to everyone.
Be sure to keep an eye on the calendars and information from your child's teacher. There are a lot of important dates and deadlines coming up!
Book Fair
If you forget to send money on the class day, we will also take time on Friday for any student who missed his/her shopping with the class.
Please send money in a clearly marked envelope that says BOOKFAIR and has:
name
teacher
amount
If you are available to help, please sign up: https://signup.com/go/ViqKQVB

Day of the Child- Dia del Nino
April 30th is DÃa del Niño (Day of the Child)!
DÃa del Niño is a worldwide celebration that not only celebrates children, but also links children to books, language, and culture. It is a nationally recognized initiative that emphasizes the importance of literacy for all children from all backgrounds. It is a daily commitment to linking children and their families to diverse books, languages, and cultures.
The EL (English Learning) Department will help our Wildcats celebrate this day all next week with read alouds of diverse books, new books for each classroom that celebrate our uniqueness, and other fun activities at school.
Each child at Willow will receive a brand-new book to keep! These books will be sent home on Friday, April 29. We hope you enjoy sharing this new book with your child.
planning for next year:
We have amazing teachers at every grade level. We are unable to accept requests for specific teachers.
Speaking of amazing staff...
