Summer Resources for Grades K-2

Summer Learning is very important for students. Please use the following resources to aid in daily learning activities. Additional Parent/Student resources can be found on our web page, https://www.joliet86.org/students-parents/

Contact your home school if you turned in your Chromebook and need it for summer learning.

Reading at least twenty (20) minutes a day is essential to maintain reading skills.

Studnet can access the large English and Spanish digital books by accessing their myON school account even at home!

Summer Reading Challenge — All Ages!

We are thrilled to announce partnerships with Joliet Public Schools - District 86 made possible in large part to the passing of House Bill 2096 "Cards for Kids Act."

All residents of Joliet Township and Rockdale who are students of Joliet Public Schools - District 86 are now eligible for Joliet Public Library student cards at no additional cost to the household.

Students who are City of Joliet residents, or residents of neighboring communities, are also invited to apply for library cards through this process.

Your child will receive a Joliet Public Card in the mail upon receipt of the application.

We look forward to having your child as our newest member of Joliet Public Library!

Online homework help is available from 2 p.m.-11 p.m. each day with live tutors.

Vist Dirksen Junior high or Sanchez Elementary School to pick up a special summer backpack full of books and activities!

The libraries are open during summer school hours. 8:30 AM- 2:30 PM Monday- Thursday until July 21, 2022. (No school the week of July 4th)

Staying active during the summer is important for your overall health. The best exercise you can do is something that you find fun! If you have a favorite exercise, make sure you do that for at least 30 minutes per day. You can play at the park, ride your bike, play baseball, or really anything you find fun that gives you exercise. If you are looking for something to do at home or if it is raining outside, here are a few video ideas.
