Leadership Message
This week St. John XXIII students poured their love into creating cards for seniors on Valentine's Day by working with Paper Bag Fairies. May our Valentine messages bring love to our seniors. May they know how much they are surrounded by prayers and love from our community.
Through these good works, we respond as the community God calls us to be, being active citizens and loving one another as He loves us.

Shrove Tuesday: Pancake Snack on Tuesday, February 13th.
In preparation for the season of Lent, we will be celebrating Shrove Tuesday, February 13th, with a Pancake snack served at lunch time. Eggcellent P'Eats has graciously offered to once again provide our Shrove Tuesday Pancake Snack!
This is a special, faith tradition for our school community and we are so grateful to Eggcellent P'Eats for the love and support they've shown our St. John XXIII family.
If your child has any dietary restrictions/food allergies that you have not already notified the office about (via PowerSchool Medical form), please notify the office by 1pm tomorrow, Monday, February 12th.
Remember that students will still need to pack snacks for the day, as well as anything else they might want in their lunch in addition to the pancakes.
Ash Wednesday: The Season of Lent begins
We continue to be so blessed to be able to celebrate our faith during the Liturgical year. The season of Lent begins this Wednesday, Ash Wednesday.
Father will lead a Liturgy for school community at 10:30pm in our school gym. During this time, staff and students will receive ashes on their forehead. Every year, the ashes for Ash Wednesday are made by burning the palm leaves from the previous year’s Palm Sunday.

Celebrating Valentine's Day: This Tuesday, February 13th
This year we will celebrate Valentine’s Day at school on Tuesday, February 13th. Kindergarten'sMonday/Wednesday class will celebrate Valentine's day on Monday, February 12th.
Please remember as we approach the “sweet” day of Valentine’s Day: Please do not send in any food items as “treats” along with Valentine’s cards for our classmates. We have many students with various food sensitivities and allergies, as well as diabetes. If you choose to add a special something, you are most welcome to add any non-food items such as a pencil, sticker, or bookmark.
Thank you for your continued cooperation and understanding.
