ASIV (Annual Student Information Verification) Reopened
Our 3rd REQUEST: If you have NOT completed your child's REQUIRED Annual Student Information Verification...we have once again reopened the Infinite Campus Parent Portal for Annual Student Information Verification until Friday, October 20, 2023. The verification only needs to be completed once in a school year and is crucial to your child's safety and success.
Even if none of the personal demographic/emergency contact information has changed in the past year, ASIV includes required ANNUAL sign-offs for the following:
BASD Student Handbook
Acceptable Use Policy
Fundraising Activities***
Publicity Clearances***
Medical Authorizations
***Your child will not be eligible for publicity or fundraising if you do not complete ASIV. In other words, incomplete ASIV information will be treated as a ' NO' for publicity clearance and fundraising. BASD will remove your child from photo opportunities, newsletters, etc., and they will not receive fundraising materials.
We know it seems bothersome and takes several moments of your time, but this information helps us safely and securely educate your child. Please, help us, help you. Thank you in advance for your cooperation!
Below are instructions on how to complete your student's ASIV from within the Parent Portal. Only parents/guardians living in the student's primary household can complete the annual verification.
If logging in from a computer, use the steps below. Infinite Campus works best on a Chrome web browser. Log into Infinite Campus Parent Portal

Only one account is required per family; however, each parent can create their own account for the student(s).

Volunteering
Attention Grade 5 Parents
As we have in years past, we will be holding the NHUF Yearbook cover contest for all 5th graders that wish to participate. Each entry will be presented to the Yearbook crew and voted upon to have the honor of having their picture as either the front or back cover of this year's NHUF Yearbook. All entries will be included within the NHUF Yearbook. The drawings should include the school's name and the paper should measure 8 1/2" X 11" to ensure that the picture is not altered when printing. Please be sure that your student also signs their work.
Entries must be submitted to the main office by Monday, October 30th.
If you have any questions, please reach out to our Yearbook Captain, Missy Yetter, mpeters4119@gmail.com or Ashley Wittmer, ashleywittmer31@comcast.net.
Thank you,
NHUF PTCA
Lifetouch Picture Retake Day
Lifetouch will be back at NHUF Elementary for picture retakes on November 6th. Unwanted pictures should be brought to school and given to the photographer. If your child was absent on picture day, your child will be photographed on this day.
From the Nurse's Desk - October
Below you will find information regarding health room procedures. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact the health room nurses at 610-473-1770.
Physical & Dental Forms: All state mandated Kindergarten and 3rd grade private dental forms and all Kindergarten private physical exam forms are due now. If you have an upcoming appointment, please notify the health room of the appointment and we will make note of the date in your child’s record.
Mandated Health Screenings: All current state mandates are still in effect. Students in grades K-5 will have their annual health screenings from now through December. If your child does not pass a screening, a referral letter will be sent home for you to follow up with a private physician. For more information please review the Mandated Health Screenings page on the BASD website.
Medication Information: If your child requires prescription or over-the-counter medication while at school, a medication authorization form must be completed by your physician. Once completed, please submit the paperwork, then contact the health room to schedule an appointment to drop off your child’s medication. Prescription medications must be in an original pharmacy labeled container. Over-the-counter medication must be in original packaging. Please refer to the BASD website for more information.
Returning Paperwork: Please return any health room forms (Physical, Dental, Medication) via email if possible. You can scan and email the original document or email a photograph from your phone to ekovach@boyertownasd.org
When to keep your child home:
As stated in the BASD student handbook, if your child exhibits any of the following symptoms, it is recommended that you keep your child home from school and consult with the child’s primary health care provider:
1. A cough interfering with your child’s sleep or ability to participate in school activities
2. A cough that is productive and has phlegm or is associated with fever or trouble breathing.
3. Fever: A temperature equal to or greater than 100 degrees without the use of a fever reducing medication. Please note that the student’s temperature should remain normal without the use of fever reducing medication for 24 hours prior to the return to school.
4. Nausea, Vomiting or diarrhea
5. Unusual skin eruptions, hives or rash.
6. Redness or drainage from the eyes.
Please refer to the BASD student handbook for more information.
*We recommend keeping a change of clothing in your child’s backpack, regardless of their age, as clothing can become soiled due to a bathroom accident, fall outside in the mud, or because of spilling food/drink.*
From the Cafeteria
JOIN US FOR BREAKFAST
All students in the Boyertown Area School District have the opportunity to receive breakfast in the cafeteria each school day. There will be a continuation of the Governor's free breakfast initiative to provide breakfast to students at no charge for those schools participating the School Breakfast Program. Therefore, students will not be charged for breakfast for the 2023-2024 school year.
Breakfast will be available during the following time each morning:
Secondary Schools 7:15am to 7:40am
Elementary Schools 8:25am to 8:45am
Our breakfasts include a variety of healthy and tasty choices including such items as cereal, mini waffles, mini french toast, muffins, cereal bars, pop tarts, fresh fruits, 100% juices and a variety of milk.
Students at the Middle School and Elementary levels are required to select an Entrée and must take at least 1 serving of Fruit or Vegetable to make a complete breakfast. A total of 3 items must be taken to make a complete meal. Milk is included as part of the meal. Senior High students are encouraged to do this as well, but are not required to purchase a complete meal. Instead, Senior High students have the option to purchase a la carte items, which are individually priced.
To see a complete listing of our menu offerings, which duplicate bi-weekly throughout the year, please visit the Boyertown Area School District website , select Departments, and choose Food Services.
