News on Repeat
Map Assessments Are Underway! We assess student academic growth in our second through eighth grade cohorts three times a year using NWEA MAP Growth. MAP (Measures of Academic Progress) provides teachers with accurate, and actionable evidence to help target instruction for individual students or small groups, and to differentiate instruction in a way that benefits and challenges all of our students. It is very important your child is present, healthy, and well-rested on assessment days. Please try to avoid appointments or late arrivals on MAP days. Our Archdiocesan-assigned time for MAP assessments is September 12th-30th. We will share results with guardians later this year.
Join us for our SALT Kick Off! SALT is one of our favorite programs at St. Eugene! Please come to school mass on Thursday, Sept. 22nd to help us kick off our service learning program for the year! Find out more about SALT on our website. SALT - Serve. Appreciate. Love. Teach. This service program highlights the “oneness” of our faith and serves as a powerful example to students of the importance of all adults actively serving others throughout our lives.
Federal Funding Form - At St. Eugene, we participate in the Title I program to assist students in areas such as academics and social emotional health. This information also helps us to apply for grants. To qualify for and receive funding, we need our families to complete the Federal Assistance form. This helps determine eligibility for federal and state services at our school. Families with a household income of $100,000 or less are encouraged to fill out, print and return to the office BY SEPTEMBER 26TH. If you received financial assistance, you are required to complete this household report form.
Still Need Safe Environment? We still have a lot of people wanting to volunteer who have not completed Safe Environment. ALL ARCHDIOCESAN/PARISH/SCHOOL EMPLOYEES & ADULT VOLUNTEERS who have contact with minors or vulnerable adults must complete the new online Safe & Sacred Training (2020) including a background check. Until all steps have been completed in the online training portal, employees and volunteers may not serve at the parish/school or organization. Please complete this google form to send in your name and email address to Jennifer Goodrich so that she can send you information to begin the process!
