Principal Corner
There has been a lot to celebrate this week: Varsity football win over Plainwell, Otsego Marching Band taking first place in their division, girls swim meet win, and the National Honors Society induction of new members to name a few.
Some of the behind-the-scenes things to celebrate are the students having informal conversations with staff about their college and career goals, teachers covering for one another when we are short on substitute teachers, students supporting and encouraging one another, and students staying after school to receive help from teachers in areas they need a little more support in. I overheard a student Friday night after the football win say: “Today is a great day to be a bulldog!” I agree!

School Is Different Now
We live in a stressful society! Teens are not immune to the impacts of stressful situations. New research reveals how stressors/risk factors affect students' mental health concerns today. These risk factors can impact a child's behavior and mental health at home and in school. Participants will learn how to identify risk factors and ways to support their students despite these factors. A time for questions will be provided at the end. We are all in this together!
Place: Otsego High School Media Center
Date: October 18, 2023
Time: 5:00 PM, 6:00 PM, and 7:00 PM. Each session will run for 45 minutes.
