SURPRISE LUNCHES
Students in Mrs. Harris's class made surprise lunches for one of their classmates. Each student got a chance to decorate their bags and then friends had to try and guess who their secret lunch friend was based on the decorations. A fun way to Valentine!
VALENTINE POTLUCK
Webster's monthly tradition was back this week as our staff was treated to a delightful lunchtime meal. The table was filled with lumpia, enchiladas, salad, an amazing vegetable tortilla soup, chocolate-dipped fruit, and a whole lotta love. We are incredibly thankful to this month's crew: Mrs. Claudio, Ms. Edlin, Mr. Vince, Mrs. Brito, Ms. Cosette, and Ms. Lockwood. Thanks for taking such good care of us, building community, and spreading some joy!
STUDENT GAME MIMICS SUPER BOWL ENDING
Last Saturday the weather held, the students were ready, and the stage was set for the 2nd Annual Webster Bowl. This timeless gridiron PARTY BOOK battle highlighted the quarterback match-up between myself and Gabe "Crazy Legs" Sokoloff. Featuring an awesome array of 3rd-5th graders and a sprinkling of recent Webster almuni, the game was a classic struggle for football supremacy. My team jumped out to a 12-0 lead, but we quickly found ourselves being picked apart by Gabe's squad as they bounced back to take a 16-12 advantage. From there, the lead changed several times as defenses simply couldn't hold off the offensive assault. The sun began to dip as we decided there would be only two more possessions until we called the game. Gabe's team would get the final possession and drive down to the 3 yard line for a 4th and goal. The crowd was on their feet and you could cut the intensity with a knife. When the dust settled, our defense held, and the final score remained 38-38...a TIE!!! (every educator's dream). We shook hands, high fived, and hugged it our after a hard-fought match. A great time was had by all.
We are truly grateful to the Sokoloff family for hosting this awesome annual Party Book event and to all the parents who showed up to support. Good stuff!!

Developing strong character and valuable mindsets is essential. This remains a major focus at Webster. As we build community here on campus, at home, and across Malibu, we will continue to model the kind of behavior that promotes unity, kindness, and thoughtful problem solving. In addition, we will value these traits in others and recognize outstanding efforts.
Every Friday we sport our Webster Wear to show school spirit and celebrate the coming weekend. Classes with the highest percentage of Webster Wear win the whale for the week. Be sure to show your spirit and pick up some Webster Wear in the main office when you stop in to say hello.
