Dear CCS Families,
While it is hard to believe it is November, we are definitely starting to feel the fall weather! November is a busy month in school and especially at CCS. Please be sure to review all of the upcoming dates below and make sure to mark your calendars for November Break next week (11/6-11/10). Schools will be closed that week. We hope everyone has a safe and healthy fall break.
Veterans Day is November 11th. In honor of Veterans Day, many of the classes will be recognizing and honoring Veterans. Our fourth grade classes will be encouraging students to complete a Veterans Day Hero handout with a picture of a Veteran students would like to honor. These will be displayed throughout the month of November.
Our Peer Leadership Club will be collecting donations for the Lacey Food Bank. We are asking families to send in non-perishable dessert themed donations. Please consider donating to this amazing organization that helps our community and families in town.
As we move into cooler temperatures, we recommend dressing your child in layers. Additionally, we always recommend sending in a change of clothes in case something gets on your child's clothing (food, they fall outside in dirt, etc...).
Our next PTA Meeting is on Wednesday, November 15th at 6:30 pm. We will meet in the CCS Library. Our PTA will be organizing a Holiday Shop for the students to take place during the first week in December. We hope to see you at the meeting!
