4th/5th Grade Choir
This year the choir will be split into two semesters and run by MES music teacher Mrs. Kaar. The first ensemble, Autumn Singers Choir will start the week of September 11th and Spring singers will start the week of January 8th. Note that while there are 3 days of choir rehearsals a week, your child will only attend two of those days. One with their grade level and one with the entire choir. Each choir will perform at least twice in front of an audience and all choir members are welcome to be part of one or both of the choirs this school year. While our first and shorter performance of the year does not have a concert date yet, our final concert of 2023 with the MMS choir on December 14th at 7PM. There will be a dress rehearsal for that performance on Wednesday, December 13th from 4 to 6PM. Please, prepare for the student to attend both of those dates. This choir is designed to teach students to use their singing voices in a healthy way, boost student confidence in performance based activities, and create a sense of belonging and community for the children. Plus singing well improves mood and is fun!
Sign-ups for choir will be in the Webstore starting on Thursday, August 31st.
