Walking and Rolling is Good for the Earth!
It’s data collection time again for Beaverton’s Safe Routes to School program. The purpose of this program is to make walking and biking to school safe, convenient, and fun.
Parent’s and guardian’s input into how students travel to and from schools and their impression of the safety of the route is valuable as the city and county prioritize needed improvements for our roads.
The following links will take you to a district survey and will be combined with classroom tallies to give us a good picture of how students are getting to and from schools throughout the district.
The district survey will be open for responses for four weeks from May 1st until May 31st.
We appreciate your help in giving us information to make the Safe Routes to School program effective for all Beaverton School District students.

Lego Drive~May 8-12
Each year, Findley’s 5th grade class presents a gift to the school. The Fifth Grade Celebration Committee is pleased to announce that this year’s wonderful class has gifted Findley with a Lego Library!
The Class of 2023 purchased 4 beautiful new Lego kits for the Lego Library. Each was chosen to achieve STEAM objectives, inspire creative, improvisational builds, and maximize cooperative play and FUN!
To further expand the offerings of the new Lego Library, the 5th Grade Class will also be conducting a Lego Donation Drive the week of Monday May 8th to Friday May 12th. Please drop off new and used Lego mixed bricks and kits in the boxes located in the front lobby and other student entrances of the school.
Thank you for your support for Findley’s new Lego Library!
Sincerely,
The 5th Grade Celebration Committee

A Note from the PTO
The teachers and staff hosted a volunteer appreciation tea last week. It included a lovely decorated table full of delicious snacks. Our talented students from each grade made us 5 one of a kind “thank you” crafts. we all enjoyed those wonderful crafts, flowers and home baked cakes and cookies .Findley thrives on its volunteers and we are so grateful for all the love and support from teachers and staff.
