Dear Parents and Guardians,
GLCs visited with English classes of all current DBHS students in grades 9-11 to provide information about the process of registering for next year’s courses. This year, we will again be using the online SignUpGenius service to schedule all GLC registration appointments. Rather than using personal email accounts to make appointments in SignUpGenius, we will use the school Gmail account of each student (ID@stu.wvusd.org).
Tuesday, February 21, all current freshmen, sophomores, and juniors were sent an initial SignUpGenius email message to their school Gmail account to help prepare them to make their GLC registration appointment. NOTE: This is NOT the message you will use to schedule your appointment and will appear to have been sent form their GLC.
In accordance with the dates at the bottom of this message, students will receive an invitation to schedule an appointment on the day their grade level scheduling window opens.
If your student cannot locate the invitation sent to their school Gmail account for making their appointment online, they must contact Randy Thomas (rthomas@wvusd.org) or contact Jolina McCurry in the Guidance Office.
GLC registration appointments will begin Tuesday, July 10, and end Thursday, August 3, 2023. Please discuss with your student your availability during that period so they can select a time that you and your student can attend. The 2023-24 course schedules for all students will be computer-generated prior to the first GLC registration appointment; therefore, the date of an appointment during the four-week registration period has no effect on a student’s course schedule. Additionally, some families may be out of town the entire four weeks of registration. This will result in a lost opportunity to meet one-on-one with your GLC and to complete very important steps in preparing for next year. If this situation applies to you, your student needs to notify their GLC.
As a reminder, the 48-Hour period for you to schedule an appointment with the GLC is listed below:
Class of 2026: March 10 starting at 4:00 pm to March 13 closing at 8:00 am
SIBLING APPOINTMENTS @ LUNCH: March 13
Class of 2027: March 13 starting at 4:00 pm to March 16 closing at 8:00 am.
Hello Brahmas!
Brahma Cinematics is excited to present DBHS with its 14th annual Doppelganger Film Festival on Friday, March 24th at 6:00 PM. Filmmakers have been working diligently in front and behind the camera throughout the year to create their personal projects.
Students have submitted films in multiple categories: Short Film, Theatrical Trailer, Commercial/PSA, Music Video, Animation, Out of the Box, and Eye Opener.
This is alongside our collaboration with REACH for Mental Health Awareness, which provides a $500 scholarship to the best documentary in the Eye Opener Category. In addition, this year we are proud to work with Ms. Dizon for the second year in a row on our new animation category.
Please attend and support your DBHS students and also enjoy a wonderful performance from, Mr. Jarvis' Commercial Music students!
Tickets will be on sale at lunch in the quad, in Mr. Enriquez's room (#271), and in person at the event. We look forward to seeing you all there!

Walnut Valley Unified School District has moved to ParentSquare!
We are excited to let you know that starting the 2022-2023 school year, ParentSquare will be replacing Blackboard Connect as the new district-wide communication platform. ParentSquare, will allow Diamond Bar High to unify all parent communication from the district, schools, classrooms, and school activity groups under one umbrella.
With ParentSquare you’ll be able to
- Receive all school and classroom communication via email, text or app
- View and download photos
- View the school and available classroom calendars
It is our hope that WVUSD's partnership with ParentSquare will enable a stronger dialogue between school & home. We also hope it will help empower everyone within the school community to stay connected and informed.
While ParentSquare can send messages through both email and text messages, we believe the best experience will be through the phone/tablet app which you can download by the links below.
DOWNLOAD FROM APPLE'S APP STORE
You can also create a password for your ParentSquare account on your computer by clicking HERE.
