Our next Early Release Day is Wednesday, February 8th and school will dismiss at 12:15 P.M.
Growing Together
I want to take a moment and thank everyone who was able to attend the forum and for the thoughtfulness with which you approached the discussion. It is always helpful for our board members to hear directly from constituents and be able to engage in purposeful conversation. On Thursday evening the DPS School Board voted to adopt the proposed Growing Together plan. As a school, SIT, and PTA will be working to educate families on next steps for applying to the lottery should they be impacted by the redistricting. Should you have any questions about the redistricting plan and what it means for your family, please don't hesitate to reach out to administration or Leah Rubow at Leah_Rubow@dpsnc.net.
Magnet Lottery Window
If you have a rising 6th grader and want to apply for Magnet lottery programs, please be sure to apply before February 6th. Also, if you have a rising kindergarten student and are in our current lottery boundary, you must also apply for the lottery, attaching any siblings to the application. The deadline is February 6th at 5:00 pm. If you have questions or need assistance, please contact Leah Rubow at 919-560-3913 (option 3) or leah_rubow@dpsnc.net
