Math with Mrs. Skiba

I have a class website where students and guardians can quickly access information. You will be able to see our class calendar, daily notes and links to newsletters. Additionally, I have created an Amazon Class Wish List. I have told students if they feel that anything should be added to our classroom to let me know and I will add it. I will be continually adding items throughout the year. Please do not feel obligated to make a purchase, but all donations are appreciated. Continual desired items include antibacterial wipes, kleenex, pencils and lined paper.

Please check PowerSchool weekly to stay up to date on your student's grades and missing work. PowerSchool will be your best resource to track your student's progress. Assignments are entered into Google Classroom but often times students forget to electronically mark they have been turned in so they will say they are late and/or missing when they have actually been turned in and graded. If you have any questions, please let me know.

This week we continued Chapter 3 with Lesson 3.3: The Distributive Property and Lesson 3.4: Factoring Expressions. If your student would like additional resources for support I recommend the BIM website and Khan Academy. (Distributive Property and Factoring Expressions).

All Chapter 3 Lesson 1 & 2 Quiz redos are due on Monday, November 14th.

Students will have a Chapter 3 Test on Monday, November 14th. I recommend using the Practice Test and Answer Key to help study.

ALL CHAPTER 3 MISSING AND ABSENT WORK IS DUE ON MONDAY, NOVEMBER 14TH.

Next week we conclude Chapter 3 with our Chapter 3 Test on Monday, November 14th. I recommend using the Practice Test and Answer Key to help study. Tests will be handed back on Tuesday, November 15th. All Chapter 3 Test Redos are due by Tuesday, November 22nd.

We will also be using our math skills for a Thanksgiving meal planning project. This will take multiple days. It will be due on Tuesday, November 22nd.

This week we began Chapter 3: Angles and Triangles with Lesson 3.1: Parallel Lines and Transversals and Lesson 3.2: Angles of Triangles.
