We hope this newsletter finds you well and filled with excitement for the summer months. That's why we are excited to share with you this summer newsletter, dedicated to providing you with helpful tips and ideas to ensure your child's summer is not only enjoyable but also educational.
In addition to activity suggestions, you will find links to educational activities and events that foster a love for reading and promote healthy habits throughout the summer. We understand that you, as parents, play a vital role in your child's education, and we want to support you every step of the way.
We encourage you to take the time to check out the links and information we have shared below. Together, let's make this summer an enriching and memorable experience for your child. Remember, learning doesn't stop when the school year ends, and with your support, we can continue to nurture their growth and development throughout these summer months.
☀️ Summer Break Activities
Click the links below to check out fun activities that families can do over the summer break. With events ranging from free to affordable, families are sure to find something to keep them busy all summer long!
Take a break
Encourage a break from constant screen time. Our students made huge gains this year by not using cell phones during instructional time. Instead of spending hours on social media, encourage your student to read a book(s) from the syllabus of their next English class to get ahead.
Outdoor Adventures
Create new memories with friends and families! Take advantage of living in Southern California. There is so much to see and do, even on a budget. Local hiking trails are beautiful this time of year. The goal is to come back in August refreshed and ready to learn!
Get organized
Visit Museums
Check out local museums, science centers, or art galleries. Many have interactive exhibits and special programs for families.
Family Movie Nights
Have regular movie nights at home. Create a cozy atmosphere with popcorn, blankets, and dimmed lights. Let each family member choose a movie to watch together.
Volunteer as a Family
Find local volunteer opportunities where your family can contribute to a cause you care about. It could be a beach cleanup, working at a food bank, or participating in community service projects.
You can easily find information about the Summer Family Programs at the Temecula Public Library by using the links below or by contacting the library directly. Check out their wide range of engaging events, programs, and activities for families. There's something for everyone!
