To all Knight Families,

We want all of our families to stay healthy and safe. With the extension of school closures, CNUSD will be moving to a distance learning model to support our students with learning opportunities. This newsletter will provide more information on how Raney will approach this. Please continue to check CNUSD website for updates from our school district leadership. We will be updating our school website with site-specific information regarding distance learning.

On April 1st, CNUSD received notification from Riverside County Public Health Officer Dr. Cameron Kaiser, that school building closures will be extended to June 19, 2020 due to the safety concerns surrounding coronavirus (COVID-19). CNUSD is closely monitoring all updates with COVID-19. The updates are being posted on the district website (Click Here for Webpage). Our counselors at Raney have been putting together materials to support students and parents during this time of school closure. Please visit the Counseling section on our school website for more information on their Office Hours, the google classroom they put together, and other supports our counselors are offering. CNUSD has been working hard since the closure of school to put together a comprehensive Distance Learning Plan that meets the needs of our students and staff in a flexible and supportive environment. Teachers will utilize already existing instructional platforms such as district email, Google Classroom, Canvas, and Zoom, etc. to provide instructional activities to students.

Distance Learning will begin on Monday, April 13th and extend for the duration of school closures. For more information on Distance Learning (CLICK HERE). Teachers have been reaching out to you this week with their office hours and information on the enrichment opportunities available to your kids. Many of our teachers already got started this week, but we want to make sure that everyone knows to connect with their child's teacher starting Monday.
