STEAM Night in Spring
Washington PTA is happy to announce that STEAM Night will be held in April. Previously, there was mention of a combination event of Invention Convention and STEAM to be held together in February. The planning committees are working diligently to schedule and run Invention Convention in February as its own event and STEAM Night on Friday, April 19. More info to come!

Introducing Mija Books
Beginning January 29, our students get to go book shopping at the Book Fair during their designated library hour. PTA is excited to bring a new Book Fair vendor, Mija Books, to Washington. Students may bring cash to purchase their own books or they can make their wish lists of books they’d like to buy with you during the after-school Book Fair hours.
2024-25 PTA Board Nominations
The nomination committee is forming the slate of board officers for the upcoming school year. Fill out the nomination form by Thursday, February 1.*Please note, the wrong day of the week was used in the last edition of the Wave. Nominations are due Thursday, not Friday.

Fundrai$er Re$ult
Back in November, the dine-out fundraiser at Panda Express raised $296.88 for PTA programs. Thank you for participating!
Play Area Supervision Sign-Up
From Principal O’Grady: Thank you so much to the parents who have volunteered on campus. We have been having more conversations about how to update safety structures on campus. There is a noticeable difference in how our students are using the restrooms responsibly. You can sign up for one or more slots.
Kindergarten Spotlight
Thank you to Lora Ellingson, Carlin Lau, Megan Hixson, Darlene Hyman, and Marti Navarro, who made a spectacular display of Kindergarten school work. Prospective Kindergarten parents visited Washington on Saturday for an all-district Kindergarten information event, and we were able to show off how much our Kinder Kids are learning!
