The Eagle Edition
Edison Elementary ~ February 14, 2024
Note from the Principals
We are excited to announce that we have a live, all-Edison virtual Artist at Heart lesson planned for Valentine's Day! We are grateful for our PTO for supporting this activity, which is greatly enjoyed by our students!
Please mark your calendars and plan to join the March 6th PTO meeting! Several of our board members and active volunteers are "graduating" this year, and we are looking for parents who want to be involved! Classrooms will be competing for how many parents from each room will attend the meeting, so join us and help your child's class win! There will be food, childcare, and even a raffle to win a Target gift card! We look forward to seeing some new faces so together we can continue to provide great support to our students, families, and staff! Thank you!

From the Office: Residency & School Attendance
Residency: As a public school, we are required to verify that our students and their families reside within the Edison school boundaries. If your address changes, please be sure to contact our school office so we can update our records. If a change of schools is needed, Mrs. Petrecca will be able to help you through the process. If you are asked to send in proof of residency, please direct the required documents (current lease and current utility bill) to Mary Brown or edisonoffice@weschoools.org. We appreciate your cooperation.
Attendance: Attendance is an important component and predictor of school success. We are required to monitor attendance trends and address concerns with families. Please be sure to communicate necessary school absences using our 24 Hour Attendance Line 440-283-2176. You can also work with your child's teacher to discuss options for missed work and assignments. If absences become excessive, you will be contacted to come in to create an Attendance Intervention Plan with our staff.
