Lots of fun happening in the month of May.


  • May 24th: PTO Dine to Donate at Orange Leaf (3-7pm)
  • May 24th: 4th & 5th Grade PTO Sponsored Open Gym/Game Night (6:30pm)
  • May 25th: Bounce House (Volunteers Needed)
  • May 27th: PTO Family Picnic (During Student Lunches) with Field Day to follow. Families are welcome to stay.
  • May 31st: Bowling Field Trip (Volunteers Needed)
  • June 1st: Last Day of School
  • June 1st: 5th Grade Promotion (1:45pm)

For every cup of Froyo or Party box sold, 15% is donated to the Valerius Elementary PTO (mention at checkout)!

BOUNCY HOUSES AT RECESS

We did a school wide positive reward system to promoted responsible, respectful and safe behavior. The reward is a bouncy house slide, a bouncy house obstacle course, and a bouncy house sport interactive house (shoot basketballs, throw footballs, etc) for recess on Wednesday, May 25.


We are looking for parent volunteers to help stand at the entrance of the bounce houses and monitor that only one kid at a time is using the bounce house. Use the link below to sign up! We are definitely looking forward to a day of FUN!

School Field Trip 5/31 to Gameday Lanes

On Tuesday, May 31st, Valerius students and staff will attend a School-Wide Field Trip to Gameday Bowling Lanes as an end of year celebration. Students will be bused over in groups. The first bus will depart Valerius at 9:45am and the last bus returns approximately at 2:30pm.


Students will eat sack lunches either before they leave for the field trip or after they return. Due to the entire school attending and time restraints, your student will NOT be able to purchase concessions.

This quote comes to mind when we think about these three incredible young ladies who have demonstrated their citizenship, resourcefulness, and most importantly the kindness of their hearts. Lana, Stella and Emma have raised over $1,000 to benefit the children of Ukraine who lost their homes to the war and need shelter, food, clothing and medical care. To raise the money, these students have been tirelessly making and selling bracelets to family, friends and people in their neighborhood. Even though their original goal of $1,000 has been reached, the girls are still going strong in their fundraising efforts!

Stella, Lana and Emma have touched many people with their determination to do good in this world. Girls, WE ARE SO PROUD OF YOU!!!

Free Meals for All Students Ends With the 2021-2022 School Year

When the 2021-2022 school year ends, so do free meals for every student.


While the federal government funded a program that allowed all students access to free meals during the COVID-19 pandemic, Congress recently declined to continue funding this program. This means all families will need to carry a positive balance in their children’s school meal accounts when school begins next fall.


If your student qualifies for free or reduced meals, they can still receive them next year, click HERE for more information about how to make that happen.
