Greenville Splash taught 45 adults to swim this year! We are so thankful to have these volunteers teach this year: Leah Aragon, Amy Browning, Allan Byer, Michelle Carpenter, Kacky Elliott, Bill Ewell, David Hall, Kristin Knowles, Mark Kothe, Carolyn Moore, Leslie Scott, and Brenda Stephens.

Let Leslie know if you have not received your 10 year anniversary team swag. We have new long sleeve t-shirts and silicone caps. We tried to mail and hand out at workouts. But we may have missed you, so let us know.

First Group Open Water Swim at Lake Jocassee. We meet at 8:30 am Devil's Fork State Park, in front of Eclectic Sun at Devil's Fork State Park Pavillion. You must be USMS registered and have a safe swimmer float. First time swimmers can fill out a 30 day waiver. We have extra floats if needed. Spring Workout Hours: The pool is now long course. MW 7-8 pm, TuTh 5:30-7:00 am, Sat 6:30-8:00 am, TuThF 8:30-10:00 am. Saturday workout will be either 8:00 or 10:00. Check website or message groups. Pool closed May 4-5 for age group meet.

Kroc Center: MWF 6-7 am

GHS YMCA: MW 6:30-7:30 pm, MTuTh 5:30-6:30 am

We are proud to announce that our 400 Free Relay of Janice Hebel, Carolyn Moore, Cheryl Quinn and Susan DeMere was the fastest relay in all of the U.S. last year. So they have earned the title of USMS All American!

Kudos to Bob McAdam and Stephanie Heatley for their amazing accomplishments at the USMS Spring SCY National Championships in Mesa, Arizona. Bob was 2nd 100 Breast, 3rd 200 Breast, 9th 200 IM, and 4th 400 IM. Stephanie was 3rd 1650 Free, 5th 1,000 Free, 7th 500 Free, and 10th 100 Back.

Casey Oliver is our open water super woman! She just completed the SCAR Swims in Arizona. She swam 4 lakes, 4 days, 40 miles: Saguaro Lake 9 miles, Canyon Lake 9 miles, Apache Lake 17 miles, and Rosevelt Lake 5 miles. That was 22 hours of swimming! Way to Go!

Open Water Adventurer, Kevin Pollman completes the Samoa Channel Swim 14 + miles in 6 hours 17 minutes. Such a beautiful place!

North Carolina SCY Championships in Cary, NC: Awesome races from: Rob Seigler, John Decker, Susan DeMere and Jeff Dietrich. Susan smashed the 200 Free State Record! Jeff placed 2nd 100 Free, 50 Fly, 200 Free, and 100 IM. Rob placed 1st 100 Fly and 100 IM, 2nd 50 Fly and 100 Free, 3rd 100 Back and 4th 50 Free. John placed 1st 400 IM and 200 Fly, 2nd 200 Breast.

Thank you so much to all of our swimmers that volunteer for Greenville Splash! Your efforts help to make our community safer in the water and provide fitness and competition activities for swimmers.

Our next meet planning meeting for the Dixie Zones is May 21st at Allan's home. We will meet to make final preparations for the Dixie Zone LCM Championships in June. It's a great feeling of giving back to our fellow swimmers around the country.
