Welcoming our New Dean
By now you may have heard that Emory Woodard, PhD, associate professor in the Department of Communication, has been appointed the new Dean of Graduate Studies in the College. Please take a few minutes to read the article below and get to know our new dean! I know I speak for all of the Graduate Studies staff in saying we are thrilled that Dr. Woodard has accepted this position.
Dr. Woodard will begin his term as dean this coming June. While I’m going to miss working with graduate students and the Graduate Studies staff on a daily basis, I look forward to working with Dr. Woodard as he transitions into the role of Graduate Dean. He has a passion for graduate education that will serve our students and faculty well.
We are also excited to announce that Brooke Erdman '16 MA has joined the Grad Studies team as our new Student Services Coordinator. Brooke earned her master's in Liberal Studies from Villanova and most recently served as Graduate Program Coordinator in the English Department. In her new role, Brooke will fill an important need to support graduate students during their time at Villanova. I think you will enjoy the Q & A with Brooke below.
Wishing you continued success as we pass the mid-point of the spring semester!
