Windermere Family Update

Windermere Weekly Parent Update 11.3.23
Safety is our top priority in Upper Arlington Schools. I hope this week through the daily updates you have been able to watch and learn more about our partnerships with the Upper Arlington City Manager, Fire & Police Departments. We are so grateful for our work together. Daily at Windermere, we had our own announcements on Wake Up Windermere. As you know on Wednesday we practiced a safety response drill with all students and staff and yesterday we practiced a fire drill. Frequently, we talk to students about how practicing these drills allow us to know what we will do in the event of a true emergency. During both drills, students did an excellent job listening and taking their practice very seriously.
This week was a busy one! For the past two weeks, UAHS students during Explorations have helped our students with the Hour of Code. Make sure you ask your child about this fun time they had learning more about coding and working with some really cool and fun high school students. Thank you, too, to our room parents who helped to make our Harvest Parties a huge success. We appreciate your time and talent. And, you spoiled us again PTO! Thank you for the snacks on Monday in the lounge. The PTO Hawks Social Planning Committee left us treats and we gobbled them up.
Daylight Savings ends on Sunday, November 5th. Don’t forget to set your clocks back an hour before you go to bed. Enjoy that extra hour of sleep.
And, thank you for sharing your sweet children with us. Have a great weekend.
Julie
