The Addams Family...
This past weekend, the Thompson fall musical took place. What a great event! More than 50 students played an integral part in putting on “The Addams Family!” Our students did a phenomenal job as they delivered a top notch performance. As the principal, I have the opportunity to see our students participate in a myriad of opportunities. Through my lens, it is always great to see them shine while engaged in many different experiences. It’s equally satisfying to observe their prideful parents/guardians as they watch them perform. Thanks to all in the Thompson Community who supported this bold undertaking and specific kudos go out to Mrs. Rybski and her team for putting on a fabulous show!
Earlier this week our students attended a social media/internet safety presentation put on by the Kane County Judicial Department. Specifically, Chief Judge Hull and Circuit Judge Clancy Boles (both St. Charles D303 graduates) facilitated a powerful presentation and discussion about the possible impact and possible results of student behaviors relative to social media. Students were engaged and attentive to this important presentation. If you would like more information on this presentation please see this link: The Worries of the World Wide Web.
Enjoy your “pre-Halloween” weekend; I certainly anticipate a fun, spooky Halloween Monday at Thompson next week!

Virtual PTO Meeting - November 2nd
Veterans Day Celebration
This year we will be celebrating Veterans Day on Friday, November 11th. Veterans Day is a day set aside to honor American veterans of all wars. Many of us know or have known men and women in our families or friends who have served in the armed forces to defend our country. This year we would like to take time to honor these individuals by acknowledging their time served and to honor them at an assembly beginning at 9:00 am on that day.
If your child has someone in your family, or a friend of your family, who they would like to invite to attend our assembly and introduce to the Thompson community, please fill out the google form below by November 2nd. Veteran's families members are also welcome to attend the celebration. A light breakfast will be provided after the program for Veterans, family members, and students introducing their Veteran.
