Message from Principal Cullinane
As you may have heard, Jeff Riley, the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) Commissioner, recently released a statement indicating a full return for high schools in the state of Massachusetts may be mandated sometime later this year. The Commissioner stated that more information would be coming out in mid to late April, and he would give districts a two week notice on the implementation of a 9-12 full return model.
We are currently working through the logistics, health and safety implications, and adjustments to teaching practices in a full return model. Desks would move from six feet apart to three feet apart as allowable through DESE guidance in order to fit students, lunches would have to go through obvious adjustments, and a lengthy list of other changes would need to be made. While we appreciate you likely have many questions surrounding this possible change, it will be some time before we’re able to fully answer all of your questions and release our plan; there are many moving pieces to this as the guidance from the state perpetually evolves.
What we do know is we will continue to offer a remote learning plan for the duration of the school year, per DESE Guidance. Again, we will need some time before we can fully explain what that model will look like.
We appreciate your patience and understanding during this fluid time. Student and staff safety will continue to be our top priority. We hope you have a great rest of your week and weekend.
Sincerely,
Steve Cullinane

Hello Nashoba Students and Families,
It has been wonderful seeing many of our students back in the building! We see lots of smiling eyes! Everyone has been doing a great job with the mask wearing, hand sanitizing, and distancing! Thank you to all who have continued to communicate with the health office for any symptoms, close contacts, testing for a variety of reasons, positive test results, and out of state travel. Thank you for staying home when experiencing any symptoms or while awaiting PCR test results. Your honesty and transparency helps to keep our school community safe and healthy, and we appreciate you for that!
Please continue to reach out with any questions or concerns.
