We made it through our first 5-day school week of the year! We also gave out our first PBIS award to a student who demonstrated academic curiosity and persistence!

Mr. Declan is the first recipient of the Be Engaged Award! He has been reading all about Ancient Egypt and King Tut and loves to share what he is learning with those around him. Ms. Ashline, when asked about Declan and his academic engagement, said, "Wow! Just Wow!". Way to Go, Declan, GIS is super proud of you!

Classroom projects, math talks, a visit from Coco the Monkey in French, awesome morning meetings, beautiful visuals to guide students through breaks and academics, community building in classrooms, exciting explore times, and so much more.

All students can succeed, and to witness every adult believing in student success through their attitudes, words, and actions is a joy to see.

School Picture Day- September 20th

Open House- September 29th, 4-6 PM

No School- October 6th and 7th

Weekend in the Islands- October 8th. GIS is a donation spot for socks and school snacks. The PTA is raffling off two gifts donated by the community as well! There will be some activity stations, and we look forward to connecting with the community!
