Are you ready for the BIG game Monday night? Monday is UofM Fan Day at Beck! Wear your Michigan gear or Blue and Maize to support the Wolverines as they play for the national championship!

NEHS will be selling UofM pencils for $1 during lunch on Monday!

Attention all 4th, 5th and 6th Graders:

The Beck chapter of the National Elementary Honor Society is looking for new members! If you meet the following criteria after reviewing your 2nd quarter grades, pick up an application outside of room 18.

Criteria:

• All A's and B's for quarters 1 and 2 on your report card.
• All 1's and 2's in "citizenship" AND "work habits" for quarters 1 and 2.
• Scored in the 50th percentile or higher on the math AND reading NWEA for fall 2023.
• Proficient or advanced proficient on the math AND reading portions of the M-Step for the 2022-2023 school year.

Completed applications must be turned into Mrs. Cairns or Mrs. Austin by Friday, January 20th. Late applications will not be accepted. Students who turn in a completed application WITH a printed copy of their 2nd quarter report card will be notified of acceptance by Friday, January 26th.

There will be an induction breakfast for new members on Tuesday, February 6th at 7:30 am.
