Greetings!
For those of you looking for warm temperatures, I hear some are on the way this week!
A couple of quick items:
- Are you looking to get your Alabama State Certification for working in the Green Industry? A few exam review class opportunities are posted above this note. Class reviews posted on the agitc site!
- See below for the pesticide points opportunity coming up on June 28th! Register today with the Mobile County Extension Office (251-574-8445) if you would like to attend! It will be at the University of South Alabama from 8 AM until 1 PM and includes lunch!
I have included the OSHA guide on how to Prevent Heat Illness at Work if you need to take some time for a toolbox safety talk! Download and print from the osha.gov site: Prevent Heat Illness at Work (osha.gov). This will take you to a list of Heat Illness Prevention topics with access to other versions and materials with different languages at this link: Occupational Safety and Health Administration (osha.gov).
Stay safe out there and remind your folks to be looking out for one another!
Take care,
John

In preparing for the high temperatures this week, this would be a great review item to incorporate into your talk with your crews about the importance of being careful working outside in the heat.
