Principal's Message...
We had an awesome week of learning and events highlighted by our Trunk or Treat Event. It was so great to see so many students, teachers, parents, and staff come together for a great evening of fun. Big thanks to our PTA, Teachers, and Staff for coming out, and families for joining in on the fun. Special shout out to our awesome high school students that helped run some of the games.
In addition to all of the fun, I wanted to remind you all it's not too late to contribute to the Maverick 180 campaign and also to join PTA. Check out the PTA website at www.tustinconnectpta.com to learn more.
In case you didn't see, PICTURE DAY has been changed. Our picture company let us know that they could not get the photographers they needed to do our scheduled Picutre Day. As a result, it is now DECEMBER 2nd!

Maverick 180 Fall Fundraiser – 3 Days to go!
Thank you to the Higgins, Salim, SHiraishi, Douglas, Sohn, Zayas, Hirose, Myer, Weiser, De Jesus, Concilus, Park-Kim, Winovitch, Zhang, McConnell, and Spurgeon families for your generosity! Please consider donating a dollar a day so PTA can provide all the extra support for students, families, and teachers. Funds donated go to support student programs and subscriptions for teacher resources, family/community events and include PTA membership. This is done through the PTA website. We’ve got this! Trunk or Treat Was a huge success. Thank you, teachers who after a day of teaching, put on costumes, decorated their car and handed out treats (super cool), school staff who volunteered, Leadership Students from the high school who eagerly jumped in, Linda Ly who is our event planner extraordinaire, Ziggy McBride who has the energy of a shooting star and all the other parents who worked hard to ensure all had a good time. Thank you Mr. Fineberg for inspiring us with your vision of community for Tustin Connect. Mostly, thanks to all our families, Grandmas, Grandpas, Uncles, Aunts, moms, dads, and students who dressed up, came out, and made this event so fun.

Elementary Information
Dino Dash Sunday: It's not too late to join the fun at Dino Dash! Many of our teachers and Mr. Fineberg will be there to celebrate Halloween at the Tustin Marketplace. Please visit www.tspsf.net/dinodash to learn more.
Where to Find Scores: With the trimester ending November 5th, you will want to make sure your child is up to date with their assignments and assessments. Remember that scores on assignments can be found in Schoology. You just need to log in, and select grades on the left side. Here's a guide that can help as well.
End of 1st Trimester: Next week marks the end of Trimester 1. We will be 1/3 of the way through the school year. Wow, how time flies. Be sure to get all of your work in and complete any outstanding assessments. Report Cards will be available towards the end of November.
Middle School Information
Student Planners: We still have MANY binder reminders available for pick up. Starting the week off with a plan is a great way to guarantee a successful and focused learning week.

High School Information
Snackfest Continues: Not that you need an excuse to come on campus, but in case you do we have snacks and drinks in our classrooms. Come raid the fridge and study with a soda. :) or water. Thank you to PTA and our parents for continuing to stock up the snacks and drinks for our high schoolers.
IVC Visits TC: On November 9 during advisory hour, we will have our Irvine Valley College representative share all the programs at IVC, Deadlines, and answer any other questions you may have. Even if you are not planning on attending IVC or community college, it will be a good opportunity to learn about programs that may be available at the school of your choice. Hope to see you all there!
SAT Sign-ups: For those of you looking to take the SAT, here's what you need to do. Go to collegeboard.org and click on the SAT tab. The system will walk you through setting up an account and registering for the test. It's that easy.
