On September 15th, all volunteers who were ‘Approved’ in program Year 2022 - 2023 were moved to a ‘Not-Enrolled’ status in 4-H Online

Calling all youth grades K - 6. After School Adventures will be starting in October and meeting once a month in both Fulda and Slayton. We will meet the first week of October and then the 2nd Tuesday (Fulda) and the 2nd Thursday (MCC) from after school until 5pm. $5 per session or $30 for all seven. 2023 High School graduates that have been a Murray County 4-H member for at least four years are eligible to apply for this scholarship opportunity. Applications must be submitted by October 16th, 2023.

Check out our Youth Development Curriculum Library for fun, educational lesson and activity resources designed for youth workers, 4-H volunteers, and youth themselves! 86 resources and counting! More content is added every month. Current categories: Animals and livestock, civic engagement and leadership, Cloverbuds (K-2), environment and earth science, expressive arts and communication, family and consumer science, gardening and agriculture, healthy living, icebreakers, games, and reflection activities, including youth of all abilities, independent learning, outdoor adventures, STEM, and themed 4-H club agenda samples. Murray County 4-H will be hosting their annual awards banquet on November 19th, 2023 starting at 6pm in the Murray County 4-H Building.

Murray County is looking to put together a general livestock judging team for this upcoming year.

Murray County's annual club leadership supper and fall volunteer training will be held on October 23rd, 2023, at 5:45pm located at the Murray County Courts Building. Please call or email the office to let us know to expect you for dinner.

Federation meeting to follow at 7pm which includes discussion and approval of the budget.

Are you interested in learning about 4-H youth from other states? Join Murray County 4-H Interstate Exchange Club. Our group hosts 4-H youth from another state and then travel to live with those youth for a week the next summer. 4-H youth can help determine the states they would like to visit. Join us October 27th at 6:00 pm at the 4-H building for a brief meeting and then stay and hang out with the crew for the BOO Bash - a dance sponsored by the ambassadors and Monogram foods for youth grades 5 -8. If October 27th doesn't work for you, please contact the office to learn more about the exchange program.

The Boo Bash is a fundraising event for the Exchange Club. Youth do not have to be a member of Murray County 4-H to attend the Boo Bash. $5 at the door, concessions for sale and costumes preferred.

The Minnesota 4-H Food Partner Challenge is back for 2023 - 2024! Thanks to a gift from Compeer Financial, Minnesota 4-H once again has dollars available to support 4-H clubs and county/tribal 4-H programs that want to partner with a local food shelf or nutrition organization to organize a healthy food or essential supply drive in their community. Learn more and apply online to receive financial support to launch a service project. The online application will be available October 1 - 31. Projects must be completed by March 31, 2024. Application deadline: October 31.

December 9th from 2 -4 pm Community Holiday Crafts and Treats - paid for in part by Grants from Monogram Foods Loves Kids and Minnesota 4-H Helping Hands.
