Fill out both the RankOne Athletic Emergency Form & Athletic Eligibility Form.

Athletes need a valid physical thru the sports season on file in the athletic office. Physicals need to meet the criteria set by the Snohomish School District.

Physicals are to be turned into athletic staff.

Our laptop collection days have passed. If you have not turned your items in, please do so by Monday, June 20. Please note that any laptop, charger, or hotspot that is not returned may result in a fine or fee on your student's account. Bookkeeping will be closed Friday, June 17, after school. They will be open during lunch to pay fines and you can pick up yearbooks at the main office front desk.

Students enrolled in AP US History for next year: your summer reading assignment is ready for pick-up in Room A310, Mr. McPherson's room. He has copies of the book choices available for you to preview.

If you are missing water bottles, glasses, contacts, etc. please stop by the office to see if they have been turned in. There is also a Lost and Found bin in the cafeteria area with miscellaneous clothing items. All unclaimed items will be donated after school ends for the year.

June 28-30 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. AJAC Youth Apprenticeship is offering a hybrid bootcamp experience where students can learn about apprenticeship training opportunities and careers in advanced manufacturing. The bootcamp prepares students for next steps into AJAC’s Youth Apprenticeship Programs. AJAC Youth Apprenticeships are open to incoming juniors and seniors. For more information, please consider attending an upcoming Zoom informational session.

After June 9, requests for final transcripts need to be made to the SHS Registrar’s office via the link on the SHS website (Students/Transcripts). Students age 18+ must request their own transcript. Please include your full legal name, school and campus the transcript needs to be sent to, school address or email address for upload, and your college/university student ID number. Please do not request a transcript be sent to a school/program until you have received your acceptance letter from your school/program. Transcripts must be requested by Monday, June 20, and will be processed by Tuesday, June 28.

This two day summit will take place on June 27 and 28 at Bellevue College. It is designed for students who will be high school seniors next fall and who identify as either a student of color, a student with disabilities or a student from a low-income background. Workshops (How to pay for college, mock college class, etc) and guest speakers will highlight resources to help students navigate the higher education environment while also holding on to and nurturing cultural identity and community. Juniors and Seniors, the last Virtual Community & Technical College Fair for this school year, will be held on Thursday, July 21, from 4-5:30 p.m. Anyone can attend. Admissions representatives from Cascadia College, Edmonds College, Everett Community College, Lake Washington Institute of Technology, and Shoreline Community College, have teamed up to share more about their schools and the programs they offer. It is important to make sure your child goes to their regularly scheduled wellness appointments, which often include immunizations. The summer months are a great time to get your child caught up with immunization requirements before the 2022-2023 school year. Schedule your appointments early, as health care providers’ schedules quickly fill up in August and September. Make sure to turn in your updated immunization paperwork to the school by Wednesday, September 7.

This reminder is especially important if your child is transitioning to preschool, kindergarten, or 7h grade, as each of these grades has additional immunization requirements.

Every student enrolled/registered in school or childcare in the state of Washington must have medically verified up-to-date immunization records on file with the school in which they are enrolled/registering before the first day of school 2022-2023. Medically verified immunization records include one or more of the following:

• A Certificate of Immunization Status (CIS) printed from the Immunization Information System (IIS)
• A physical copy of the CIS form with a healthcare provider signature
• A physical copy of the CIS form with accompanying medical immunization records from a healthcare provider verified and signed by school staff
• A CIS printed from MyIR

The Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP) is offering eligible households high speed internet (100Mbps download) for $30 a month with no additional out of pocket costs.

There are three ways families can qualify:

• Income of 200% or less than the federal poverty guidelines
• Program participation (such as Free Reduced Lunch Program eligible, or SNAP, etc.), or
• Meets the eligibility criteria for a participating broadband provider’s existing low-income internet program

What families need to know about this new ACP opportunity:

FAQs

If I am approved for ACP and currently on an internet service plan with a provider, can I switch to a different internet service plan of that provider, including to that provider’s low-cost plan, and receive the ACP benefit?

• Yes. The ACP benefit can be applied to any internet service offering, and providers cannot restrict you from switching service offerings or subject you to mandatory waiting periods. Sometimes providers prohibit existing customers from switching to low-cost internet service plans; however, consumers receiving the ACP benefit are not subject to these “existing customer” restrictions.

What happens if my provider has eligibility requirements for an internet service plan that conflict with ACP rules? (e.g. My provider requires that I pay off my past debts before signing up for XYZ internet service plan)

• ACP rules override the rules of participating providers in the context of an ACP consumer. For instance, a provider may generally require that consumers pay off past or present debts before signing up for XYZ internet service plan. However, consumers who are approved to receive ACP benefits are not subject to that requirement (since the ACP rules prohibit providers from declining to enroll ACP consumers based on past or present debts).

Note: The ACP rules clearly allow ACP consumers to apply their benefit to any internet service offering that is generally available (i.e. not a grandfathered/legacy plan) and prohibit mandatory waiting periods (47 CFR 54.1808(e)(6)(iii)) and restrictions on switching plans (Para. 166 of the Report and Order).

So that we can better plan student transportation needs and routes/schedules for the 2022-2023 school year, we have implemented an online Student Transportation Input form at www.sno.wednet.edu/ridethebus. Between now and through early summer, we are asking all parents/guardians of 2022-2023 students to please complete this form. The form only needs to be completed once per student.
