Welcome Back

Dear Manzo Elementary Families,

It is an honor to introduce myself as the new principal of Ricardo Manzo Elementary School and to join this extraordinary school community. I hope that this note finds you enjoying these last few days of summer and that you and your children are looking forward to beginning a wonderful school year together in August.

My family and I are looking forward to meeting and establishing positive relationships with the Manzo community. My husband Gil and I have been married for seventeen years and are proud to call Tucson home. We have an amazing son who will be entering 7th grade in the upcoming school year. The 2023-2024 school year is exciting for me as it will mark my 20th year in education. I spent 14 years teaching Kinder through Fifth grades, three years serving as a Community Service Provider, and most recently served as an assistant principal in TUSD.

To our Manzo Bobcats, I cannot wait to meet you all! I hope that you are excited for this coming school year and that you are out this summer playing, reading and spending time with your family and friends. It is going to be a fun year learning together. I am truly honored to be given this opportunity and look forward to immersing myself completely in our school and in our community. I look forward to meeting all of you and welcome your conversation and positive input throughout this school year. I also invite you to join us for our Meet and Greet on August 2nd. This is an opportunity to meet your new teacher and see your new classroom. We are asking that you follow the schedule below:

1:00 to 2:00 – Kinder, First, and Second Grades

2:00 to 3:00 – Third, Fourth and Fifth Grades

Estimadas familias de la escuela primaria Manzo,

Es un honor presentarme como la nueva directora de la Escuela Primaria Ricardo Manzo y ser parte de esta comunidad. Espero que esta nota los encuentre disfrutando de estos últimos días de verano y que usted y sus hijos estén ansiosos por comenzar un maravilloso año escolar en agosto.

Mi familia y yo esperamos conocerle y establecer relaciones positivas con la comunidad de Manzo. Este año celebrare 18 años de casada junto a mi esposo Gil. Tenemos un hijo increíble que ingresará al séptimo grado el próximo año escolar. El año escolar 2023-2024 es muy especial para mí, ya que marcará mi vigésimo año en educación. Pasé 14 años enseñando desde kínder hasta quinto grado, tres años sirviendo como proveedor de servicios comunitarios y, más recientemente, como subdirectora en TUSD.

A nuestros Manzo Bobcats, ¡no puedo esperar para conocerlos a todos! Espero que esten emocionados por comenzar el próximo año escolar y que esten aprovechando su verano jugando, leyendo y pasando tiempo con su familia y amigos. Tendremos un año escolar divertido en el cual aprenderemos juntos. Me siento verdaderamente honrada por la oportunidad de servir en esta comunidad. Espero conocerle, conversar a lo largo de este año escolar. Por favor, no dude en ponerse en contacto conmigo con cualquier pregunta, inquietud o idea que le gustaría compartir conmigo.
