Key Project Updates
- Fishing River Watershed planning is currently focused on creating the Citizen Engagement component of project, creating a webpage on the City's website.
- WWTP 2nd digester is complete & startup was scheduled last Friday. Several funding sources made this project possible. CDBG Grant $750,000, Bond Revenue $300,000, ARPA Grant $125,000, CIP $225,000.
- Road & Bridge purchased crack sealing equipment for the city to use on asphalt streets to prolong the life of streets
- Parks/Rec is planning improvements to tennis courts in Regent Park to accommodate 3 pickle ball courts & changing the configuration of the skate park ramps as a refresh
- Earth Day Clean-up had 625 volunteers working 1.25 hours on Friday & 52 working 3 hours on Saturday, volunteer labor was valued at $28,000.
- Renderings of the Aquatics Park @ Community Center are now available.
- Prior to COVID, the Community Center membership had almost reached 6,000 members. During COVID, membership slipped to around 4500, this week, the 6,000th member signed on.
