Winship Family News
December 2023
********************************
Winship Families,
2023 was a fantastic year for the Winship Team and our school has nothing but high hopes for 2024. Thank you for continuing to trust our school and our team to serve and educate your child. We take this responsibility very seriously. We are happy that you are at Winship!
We have really stressed to our students the importance of keeping track of their winter gear. We ask them to put their hats, gloves, scarves, etc. inside of their backpack OR their jacket sleeves, hang up their snow pants on their hook and put their boots against the wall. If you have seen our lost and found OR have had a child come home missing some winter gear, you KNOW how important this lesson is for our kids.
Thank you all for participating in our recent Winship Clothing Sales and Winship Cookie Sales. Our PTO leadership team of Diana Duchscherer, Betsy Spartz, Curt Sherman, Melissa Giedd, Alisha Motl and Laurie Nelson worked hard to find family friendly fundraisers that can help support our classrooms!
The Holiday Gift Fair was held on December 1st. Thank you to all that helped our kids focus on the magic of giving to others. We have a very large number of families that do not celebrate the upcoming holiday of Christmas. We celebrate many different holidays in our school, but we all are thankful to be able to give to others and share our appreciation for the family members in our lives. Thank you all for participating.
Our last day of school before winter break is December 22nd. We resume school on January 2nd. Please review the newsletter for details about the remainder of the year.

Hello Winship Families!
We are in the peak season of winter illnesses. Please demonstrate diligence in hygiene practices with your children. Remind them to wash their hands, cover their coughs and sneezes, and to avoid sharing food and drinks with friends and family. Germs spread like wildfire in schools, homes, and daycares. Lastly, if your child(ren) has a temperature of 100.4, vomiting,or diarrhea, please keep them home.
Stay safe and healthy!
