The Fugett staff and students felt incredibly fortunate and honored that our new Superintendent, Dr. David Christopher, checked in with us during his first day in West Chester! Dr. Christopher witnessed first-hand the magic happening every day at Fugett. While he was only able to enter a few classrooms, Dr. Christopher commented specifically about the nurturing school climate and welcoming culture we are cultivating at Fugett. We look forward to more opportunities to put on display our wonderful community and young scholars here at Fugett.

Looking for information regarding mental health awareness? The Aevidum Club created a "Take What You Need" bulletin board located across form the Auxiliary Gym. Students and staff-please stop by, take what you need, and pass along to someone who might need of some moral support. We got your back!!!

Huge thank you to all of the staff and parents who were able to help out and make this event such a success for our students.

This December give back to your community by donating to the Sports Equipment Drive.

Starting December 11th donate your equipment to the boxes around the gym area to give to families in need in the Philadelphia area. We hope that you can increase the charitable spirit in your heart this December to give the needy a chance at the sports you love.

We would like to welcome students to the FUGETT SKI AND SNOWBOARD CLUB! It’s time for the winter 2023-2024 season to begin! We are looking forward to several fantastic trips.

2023-2024 Bear Creek Mountain Resort Group Pass Program

Below are the rules and regulations for the passes:

• Multi-session/season passes are non-transferable.

• Passes expire at the end of the 2023-2024 season and may not be rolled over to another year.

• No refunds will be issued for unused portions of the session passes.

• No refunds will be issued for any reason on a season pass.

• Minors renting equipment require the signature of a parent or guardian. Parental release forms are available on our website once signed it is valid for the season.

• If you lose your pass there is a $10 replacement fee

• Multi session passes are valid Monday through Friday all day (non- resort holiday)

• Resort holidays for the 2023-2024 season are December 23, 2023, through January 1, 2024, January 13-15, 2024, and February 17-19, 2024.

When purchasing your pass or passes, you will need to have handy; credit card for purchase, full name, address, phone number and birth date of each of the pass holders. If renting equipment, height and weight information is also required.

Students continued to learn how to find their personal empathy. Some classes celebrated sharing a common meal or snack, while others focused on authoring letters to local individuals/groups in need.

The PTO has a few fun events and volunteer opportunities this month! Information is below and on our website.

1) Holiday Pop Up Shop - Fugett & East spirit wear on sale from 3:00-5:00 pm at the front of Fugett. Spirit wear benefits the student council. Bake goods for sale to benefit the Fugett Green Club. See attached flyer for more details.

2) Chipotle & Kiwi Yogurt Dining Night Out - After shopping the Holiday Pop Up Shop, stop in to Chipotle and/or Kiwi Yogurt in Exton to support the PTO through our Dining Night Out Event.

Please wait until 7:00 to let children out of the car. We have staff ready to welcome students every morning, but this role does not start until 7:00.

To serve you better, families may drop off and/or pick up East and Fugett students at either building, as long at you are using the typical drop off/pick up location.

Parents: Please encourage your children to check their backpack for toys and water guns before coming to school after a weekend. We understand that backpacks may serve a dual purpose over the weekend, but any items in violation of the WCASD Discipline Manual will result in student disciplinary outcomes.

All Community Resource information going in the Fugett Flash need to be approved by Dr. Sara Missett, Director of Elementary Education. Please include Dr. Missett's (smissett@wcasd.net) approval when requesting a flyer be included in the Fugett Flash. Thank you!
