Woods Lake Elementary
Weekly Update May 10-14, 2021
Hello Woods Lake Family,
I want to wish all of the mothers and caretakers a Happy Mother's Day! The role of a parent is so influential in the life of a child, Thank you!
We are preparing to administer the spring NWEA/MAP testing for students in reading and mathematics next week. It is important that your child gets plenty of rest and is prepared to do their personal best on the test. We ask that there are minimal distractions to support focus for our learners. Thank you for your help!
If you have not picked up your child's curriculum, including summer reading books (second through fifth grade) please stop by the main office Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:00-4:00 p.m.
Save the date! Wednesday, May 26, 2021, from 5:00-7:00 p.m. will be our Annual Everything Educational Event! We will have tents, games, snacks, and more for your family to enjoy!
Finally, we encourage you to look out for the Summer Readiness emails and letters in the mail to get your child registered so that they can attend our KPS Summer Readiness 2021 face-to-face program beginning June 2021.
As always, Stay Safe and Stay Healthy!

Academically Talented/Avant-Garde 2021-22
Any student who has already been identified for A/T will be invited to participate next year, regardless of whether they participated this year. We understand that this year was a unique year and that many families chose not to participate; therefore there is no penalty for this. We will let families know that if they wish to opt-out again, they may do so by contacting the elementary education office.
