Our priority as a community is to keep In Person Learning for every child happening for as long as possible, all year long. You can help us by reading the following information and then filling out our Mask-Wearing-Parent Decision Permission form with the link below.

Recent Quarantine Update: In recent quarantine events at UPE where children were exposed to a positive individual, students who were wearing masks did not have to be quarantined. Therefore, it is important to us to know what your intentions are for your child in regards to mask wearing. While our policy is still “Mask wearing is strongly recommended for children (and required for adults) in the UPE School Building,” there is information we feel will be helpful for you to know.

• ​​Expectations for Children Not Quarantined: The school cannot provide virtual or extra learning materials for children whose family who chooses to keep them out of school when their child is not subject to a quarantine.

• Masks for Siblings of Those Quarantined: How a quarantine changes the requirement for siblings still attending school. Siblings from households with quarantines are required to wear a mask at school. This is an added layer of mitigation.
