Welcome to our CTS Snapshot - a weekly celebration update. We are delighted to share with parents and carers alike student triumphs at Corby Technical School. We are proud of every student and every success they have - please feel free to share with us any achievements they might have.

Year 9:
Addison 9SI, Ugne 9TA, Kade 9SW, Kai 9SI, Jayden 9SW and Klaudia 9SW.
Year 10:
Maya 10TE, Joshua 10TE and Bailey 10TA.
Year 11:
Ella 11SW, Louis 11TE, Amie-Leigh 11CO, Amelia 11CO and Anastasiia 11ST.
Sixth Form:
Kudzaishe 12, Grace 12C, Anya 12B, Remi 12B and Abigail 12C.
Year 7:
Well done to Riley (7ST) who took part in a diving competition recently, placing third, and competing against older teenagers, many congratulations, a great achievement!
Seren and Nicole (7TE) are working really hard in English their presentation is beautiful.
Millie, Vlad and Ashton C (7SW) are working really well in English and are contributing well in class .
Year 7 students have also taken part in workshops with the Royal Navy this week. They created their own rockets made from paper and cellotape which they then were able to launch using the air pressure machine to see how high they would fly.

Year 9:
9ST, 9CO, and 9CU have all done an amazing job in their practical assessment in food this week. They all had to work independently from a recipe to make ginger biscuits. Mrs Firmin was very pleased with how well they did.
Well done to Oliwia G, Iosif and Charlie (9TU) for their great job presenting in assembly this week.
Year 10:
Congratulations to Marian for passing his grade 8 clarinet exam.
Another excellent win for the Year 10 boys basketball team last week beating Corby Business Academy 24-20.
The following students have completed excellent work in Drama:
Shanice, Elina, Iara, Charmain and Veronika.
Year 11:
Year 11 First Generation Talk – Year 11 students had the opportunity to hear from a current University of Northampton student who was the first in his family to attend University. He spoke about his anxieties and worries about attending University and how he overcame these and the process of how to apply to University.
Year 11 GCSE Art students have almost completed their coursework and have worked very hard on this. Emma P received a level 8 in her recent English Language assessment, Cameron B has gone up 2 levels following his English Language assessment and Ella P, Conlan, Denis and Bence have also improved their Science grades.
Sixth Form
Mr Hallas would like to congratulate Josh, Carmen, Oscar S and Drew for delivering a brilliant assembly on ‘Christmas from different cultures. It was meticulously researched and executed with finesse. It is never easy to present to your peers and all four students can be proud of what they achieved.
Reminders:
- Christmas Lunch is being held on Thursday 22nd December, if you child does not wish to have this, please provide a packed lunch.
- Students will finish at 1.00pm on Thursday 22nd December.
- School reopens to students on Tuesday 10th January. A small group of Year 11 students have an external exam on Monday 9th January, if your child is sitting this exam you must ensure they are in school.
