WSU Excel Camp
Description of EXCEL Camp:
Exploring College Emerging Leaders (EXCEL) is a weekend youth camp at Washington State University Pullman Campus for Native American High School Juniors and Seniors. Students will participate in science focused activities, gain laboratory skills, and explore what WSU has to offer. Lodging, meals, and activities provided free of cost but transportation to and from Pullman is not included. Youth must be accompanied by a chaperone.

State Truancy Policy
Opportunity to weigh in on and inform state truancy policy? State Leaders want to understand students’ experiences with truancy, improve policies to help make attendance policies and truancy laws more equitable, and understand how to better support students’ access to their education.
You may meet in-person, virtually (zoom or google hangouts), or phone. If you participate, you will receive a $45 gift card for each session as a thank you for your time.
Who can participate?
- Youth who are in grades 6 through 12th grade who have experienced truancy in the last three years or
- Parents or guardians of youth in grades Kindergarten-12th who have experienced truancy in the last three years
· Student and family interest form
· Translated Outreach Materials

Everyone who indicates interest in participating in sessions may not be selected, however we will ensure that everyone who expresses interest can participate in some manner. If you are selected to participate in sessions, we will follow up by contacting you via email or phone within two weeks.
