All families should have received an email from BPS on Friday, January 15th with information about making updates to your child’s learning model. Please make sure to complete this survey by TOMORROW (January 29th) if you want to make a change for your child. This will be the last opportunity to make a change for the rest of this school year. You do not need to complete the survey if you want to keep your child in their current learning model.

• A change from hybrid to remote will be approved automatically.

• BPS will notify you prior to March 1st if your change request from remote to hybrid is approved.

If you have any trouble completing the survey or if you did not receive the survey, please let your child’s teacher or Emily (ebekenstein@bostonpublicschools.org) know and we can complete it for you.

We will be holding a Family Cartooning Night for all families in grades 2-5 on Thursday, February 11th at 6 p.m. Jose Santiago Arce is the artist who will lead the hour.

The chromebook that your child has right now will be theirs to use for the next four years. Please make sure you are teaching your child safe chromebook habits to ensure that the chromebook is ready for learning.

• Keep all food and drinks away from the chromebook

• Close the lid on the chromebook and hold it with two hands when walking around

• Power it all the way off at night so that it can update

• Charge the chromebook in a safe space where no one will accidentally trip over the charging cord
