I hope you all had a wonderful Winter Break and got to spend time with people you care about. It was great seeing all the kids this morning walking into the building with their tired eyes and smiling faces. In the classrooms, the students jumped right back into learning. They were reading, doing math, writing letters, sounding out words, and so much more. The building feels more like a school now that the kids are back. We want all of our students at school every day for consistent connection and instruction. Please plan to send your student to school each day, unless they have any of the symptoms listed below in our guidance.

If your student does become sick with any of these symptoms, please call our attendance line as soon as possible and leave your student's name, grade, and symptoms: 503-844-1673.

All kids should feel safe and be safe at school. SafeOregon gives kids, parents, schools, and their communities a way to confidentially or anonymously report safety threats or potential acts of violence. Together, we'll empower people to speak out and spark change. One tip can save a life.

If you believe a bias incident has occurred, there are two ways to report the incident, our HSD Mobile App and Oregon Safe. These incidents could be student to student, student to staff, or staff to student.

The Oregon Food Bank Free Food Market offers free, fresh, and healthy fruits, vegetables, and pantry staples to Hillsboro community members on the second Tuesday of every month from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. at Hillsboro Self Sufficiency, 5300 NE Elam Young Pkwy.
