Our students in Grades 3 - 8 did an amazing job working their way through testing next week. We are looking forward to a more "routine" week ahead! Alas, there will be A LOT of excitement in the air as final picnic preparations are made. Please read through the newsletter carefully for information related to final ticket purchases, volunteer opportunities etc.

Borromeo continues to be a wonderful community of faith and family. We are grateful for all of the families that spent time supporting our school at this weekend's Oktoberfest and who will again offer their time, talent and treasure at next weekend's picnic. Picnic weekend is a favorite among many!

Please purchase ride tickets before Oct. 1! The parish only receives revenue on ride tickets purchased in advance!

There will be at least 8 rides/games at the picnic requiring 2-4 tickets each.

You can buy your game booth/food and beverage tickes early and get 3 tickets for $1. At the picnic they will be 2 for $1. *Food and Drink booths will only accept tickets, no cash!

Don't forget tickets for the delicious Chicken & Roast Beef dinner as well, who wants to cook dinner on Picnic weekend?

2021 Silent Auction Opportunities

We are accepting donations for our annual silent auction! Popular silent auction items include: *Timeshares *Sports Memorabilia *Themed Baskets *Man Cave / She Shed items *Sports and Entertainment tickets *Gift Cards *Company Products and Services.

Please also consider those antique, unique items that might be collecting dust in your basement, or last year’s unopened Christmas gift. These items are part of what makes our fall silent auction so unique, memorable and fun!

Thursday and Friday Pick Up and Drop Off

The Picnic tent will be set up after recess on Thursday afternoon so the top lot will not be used for pick up on Thursday, as well as, drop off and pick up Friday. We will be using the bottom lot only. We will send specific reminders regarding pick up and drop off prior to Thursday. Please remember to bring your patience.

NURSE NOTES

THANK YOU for your continued support in keeping our building healthy! Don't forget to bring water bottles and masks to school each day. Some of our primary kiddos have a difficult time keeping paper masks on the right way. If you have cloth ones they are comfortable they tend to do a better job with those. PLEASE also remember to ensure masks get cleaned and washed on a regular basis.

Special request! We are in need of both child size and adult size masks. If you can donate any we would greatly appreciate it.

BRING IN YOUR BOTTLES!!!

Hey Kids!!!! Do you want to earn an extra recess for your class??

Bring in your FULL Bottles to your home room teacher to support the Ladies Sodality "Bottle Booth". The class with the highest average number of bottles per student will earn an extra recess!

Bottles must be new and unopened. Examples are:

Shampoo Cleaners Conditioner Soda (2 liter or 16oz plastic) Mouthwash

Ketchup Windex Syrup Salad dressing Mustard

Water Hand soap Cologne Steak Sauce Juice (plastic bottles)

Attention 5th-8th Students!!! Altar Servers Needed!

We are going to be reinstating altar servers at Mass. Because it has been over a year since we have had servers, any young person who wants to be a server, whether they have been one before or not, needs to fill out a form. The form is available online at https://bit.ly/scbservers22.

Are you missing a cooler??

These coolers were borrowed for field day last year. If you are looking for your cooler, we still have it. Let us know if this is yours and we will get it to your kiddo or you at pick up.

Stem Class Request

Are you tired of stepping on random legos? Bag them up and bring them to school.

Stem is looking for lego donations. Any size and random pieces are welcome!

Just drop them off in the Stem Room.

COR JESU

Cor Jesu High school night is Thursday September 30th. Please pick up a flyer in the office if you are interested in attending. It is open to 5th -8th grade girls.

SAINT DOMINIC

· St. Dominic will be hosting shadow days for 8th graders September 7 - December 10th. Your student can come live a day in the life of a St. Dominic student! Personalized parent tours are also available daily by appointment. Please register in advance at https://www.stdominichs.org/admissions/request-info or call Victoria Luetkemeyer at 636-240-8303 ext. 111 for shadows or Bobbie Peters at 636-240-8303 ext. 108 to schedule a parent tour.

Virtual High School Nights will be held on 9/28, 10/4, 10/13. Sessions will begin online at 7:00 and 7:50 p.m. and each session will be followed by a question and answer session with our student speakers and our administrators. St. Dominic's Open House will be held on October 24th from 10:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. All are welcome to come take a tour of our beautiful 50-acre campus, meet with our college guidance coordinators, teachers, students, coaches and club moderators. DAY OF THE DEAD REMEMBERANCE

Senora Patrica is asking for any pictures of loved ones that have passed away, she will be collecting them now for their Day of the Dead Rememberance in Spanish class. Every year Senora Patricia remembers them with a beautiful display outside the Spanish classorom. She teaches the students about what this day means. You can start sending in pictures now until October 1. The students will be praying for these family members the whole month of October in Spanish class. Thank you for your help!
