Aberdeen Schools
Keeping you informed about our schools -- Feb. 16, 2024
The Ketchup Club lunches at Robert Gray
Again this year, Robert Gray Elementary School hosted the Ketchup Club, a day when students are able to invite a family member to lunch with them at the school. This is just one of the many ways Aberdeen schools seek to welcome family and loved ones into the schools. Many thanks to the staff and the crew in the kitchen for helping to make the event memorable.
Special Election Results
EP&O Levy and Capital Levy headed toward passage
The special election seeking voter approval for a four-year Educational Programs levy and a four-year Capital Projects levy concluded Tuesday and the latest results show both measures are passing.
"On behalf of the Board of Directors, I want to thank the citizens of Aberdeen for supporting the Aberdeen school district and passing the levies which benefit our district as a whole," President Jennifer Durney said. "We especially want to thank the volunteers on the Citizens for Aberdeen Schools who helped get the word out and for the leadership of Sarah Teveliet Channel and Callie White."
Superintendent Jeffrey Thake was very pleased at the results of the first special election of his tenure in the district. "I cannot thank our Aberdeen Community enough for your support of our schools, our programs, and our staff for your continued investment for the next four years," he said.
