Principal's Message
Hello Springwater Community,
We are approaching the 12-week grading period! Conferences are held at the end of November during the week of Thanksgiving. They are a great opportunity to get to know your student's teachers and gather additional information on your student's academic progress. Conferences will be held the evening of Tuesday, November 26th and the morning of Wednesday, November 27th. Conferences are arena style: all of the teachers will be gathered in the Commons and you can choose which teachers you visit, in the order of your preference. Wednesday morning is the least busy time to connect with teachers. We do have a number of part-time staff who will be available only for select times during the conference days. Please see the schedule below for more information and to confirm all of your student's teachers will be present during your visit.
Our two volleyball teams continue to play weekly games at Reynolds Middle School. If you haven't made it to a game, they are really fun to watch. Games occur at 4pm or 5pm. See the specific dates and times in this issue.
This week STHS journalism students visited the University of Oregon for Fall Media Day, attending valuable workshops about journalism. Mr. Lurie's sophomore classes attended Redwood at Portland Center Stage on Thursday. The play explores society's interest with genealogy and the implications of recent scientific progress tracing our ancestry.
I hope to see you at our conferences later this month! As always, please don’t hesitate to reach out to your student’s teachers, the main office, or me by phone or email if you have questions or concerns.
Sincerely,
Ryan Blaszak
