The first week of school was a great success! Students spent the week meeting their teachers, making new friends, learning new skills and more. At Miner Elementary School, we want our students to feel LOVE, CHALLENGED, AND PREPARED!

Below are a few updates and reminders as we prepare for the second week of school.

Our goal is to educate the Miner Community on the DCPS Attendance Policy and have a learning environment for all students that promotes academic success, regular attendance, and parent engagement.

Daily Arrival

• 8:20 am: Doors open.
• 8:30 am: Students are to report to school daily.
• 8:45 am: Students should be seated and ready for instruction.
• 8:50 am: Students are considered late and must report to the attendance office for a late pass

Nut allergies are very common. To keep everyone safe, we are a nut-free school. This means that students are not allowed to bring any foods containing nuts (i.e., peanut butter, candies containing nuts, etc.). Please contact Principal Dance or AP Combs if you have any questions.
