Please Return School Technology
We have begun collecting school technology that was checked out to our in-person learners. Please make sure you send the laptop, ipad, chargers, and/or hotspot devices you checked out from the school for your child to use during remote learning.
What’s Happening in the Library?
April has been a month of celebrating and learning more about our planet Earth with different types of media. Students have learned about climate change, the 3 Rs (reduce, reuse and recycle), protecting the environment, and people who are making a difference by taking ACTION. Fifth grade students have used their new knowledge to collaboratively create board games from recycled materials to teach others about Earth and its environment. K-3 students have used games from pbskids.org to clean up the park and turn used materials into new equipment for the park. They have used the Kodable app on ipads to code their character for a Beach Cleanup. Students have designed and created vehicles for cleaning up the land and water using Legos and KNex, and recorded videos to share a message about the importance of caring for our planet using Seesaw. We challenge everyone to take ACTION to do your part to care for our planet Earth...it’s the only one we have!
Wrightsboro received a grant from First Book to order two books for all of our Kindergarten, first, and second grade readers. Our readers enjoyed selecting books from different genres to read and share with their families. Thank you First Book for encouraging our readers!
We have added some Wiggle stools in the media center for our creators to use while reading, designing and creating. They are a super way to help us focus on our learning and increase productivity!
Our readers may continue checking out books from the library until May 12th. ALL BOOKS WILL BE DUE BY MAY 14TH.
