The Wolf Weekly
NRHS Principal's Newsletter
Newsletter Week of October 12, 2021
I hope you had a restful long weekend. One of the things you will see me try to model over the course of the year is work life balance. As such, over long weekends or holidays I will not be on email and will shift the times that I send out my newsletter. As adults who are pulled in so many directions, it is critical for us to take time to relax, rejuvenate and spend time with family, which is exactly what I did this weekend.
Last Tuesday, I had the pleasure of attending the boy's varsity soccer game for senior night and in similar fashion to our girls varsity team, we had a decisive 4-0 victory. It was a great evening!
On Wednesday of last week we had our student council elections as well as a very successful clubs and activities fair in the courtyard. The positive energy from the students was amazing!
This past Friday, coach Mariani had her 200th career win at Nashoba - Congratulations!
This week is Spirit Week leading up to our Homecoming football game this Friday and Homecoming dance this Saturday.
10/12 - Career Day
10/13 - Decades Day
10/14 - Country vs. Country Club Day
10/15 - Blackout Day - wear your Nashoba Blackout T shirts
Finally, we are well over 80% vaccinated at NRHS and over 50% opt in to pooled testing. Once we get to 70% or above opt in to pooled testing, we may be able to consider removing masks indoors. Please consider filling out the opt in form for testing. Contact the school nurse for more information.
Have a wonderful week Nashoba!
Best,
Dr. Kathleen Boynton, principal
Members of our Boys Varsity Soccer Team
Congratulations Coach Mariani!

Supply Chain Update from Food Services
Guidance Department Update
Students taking AP courses are required to take the corresponding AP tests each May. Registration for AP tests begins today and concludes on October 22nd. We know this is early, but the College Board requires that we order AP tests in the Fall. It is suggested that parents and students register for these tests together - it should take about 15 minutes.
*Students complete the AP contract.
*Students register at https://user.totalregistration.net/AP/220162. Follow the instructions carefully.
*Students register at College Board's MyAP system with the Join Codes you received at the end of the Total Registration process.
Please reach out to Mr. Glover, the test coordinator, or Mrs. Hilliger, the Guidance Secretary for questions.

This is an opportunity to hear about schools that students may be interested in. Remember....the Rep may actually be the Admissions Counselor who reads Nashoba's applications.
Students should notify their teachers before attending and should NOT miss any exams/quizzes or presentations. Students will be excused from any classes they miss but are responsible for any work assignments.
