Ideally, a tubular metal framing system. If you can help out with this resource, please contact Gwendolyn Lukas-Doctor at gwendolyn.lukas-doctor@bvsd.orgThank you for any assistance you can provide!
THE ADMISSIONS GAME
1/18/23 6:00pm
Do you ever wonder who "gets in" and "why?" "The Admission Game" (TAG) takes you inside the admission process for the answers. Peter engages audiences immediately in a "conversation" by talking with them in relevant terms that help ease the stress of an otherwise frenzied process. This signature program reveals the "hidden agendas" of colleges and provides insight into how decisions are made. Link to more information.
BVSD CONNECTS EVENT
1/19/23 5:00pm
All Boulder Valley School District families are welcome to a presentation and conversation with district leadership. BVSD will provide attendees with a brief update about the school district and discuss important topics, including the budget process. Link to more information.

Adolescence is a time when our young people are naturally taking risks. While it is normal and expected for teens to make mistakes, there are important ways for you to mitigate these risks, especially when it comes to substance use. Please join us in the Monarch High School Auditorium for this important community presentation on fentanyl and get resources to keep your teen and family safe. Please contact school nurse jennifer.kerker@bvsd.org for more information or for questions or resources related to substance use and abuse. PEN Presentation on Fentanyl
MARSHALL FIRE SCHOLARSHIP
The Marshall Fire that occurred on December 30, 2021, has been deeply impactful to our residents and the community. The outpouring of support from many avenues over the past year for those affected and experiencing hardship is incredible and inspirational. The Louisville Fire Protection District’s Volunteer program is pleased to offer two educational scholarships of up to $1500 to Louisville residents and their dependents who have experienced an impact on their primary residence. For consideration, please complete the LFPD Marshall Fire Scholarship Application and submit it by February 17, 2023. Winners will be notified by February 28, 2023.
Attention seniors interested in becoming EMT personnel!
Currently there is a shortage of EMT (Emergency Medical Technician) personnel in Colorado. Care Forward Colorado will pay 100% for students to take the EMT Certification. The restrictions are that students need to be 18, have graduated high school, and have met a certain level of English.
There are still spots available in classes this summer. This is open to the public, not just BVSD students, so if you’re interested in taking this course (to become, for example, a ski instructor or to work in ski area operations), then you may want to sign up asap. The current class this spring is waitlisted, so summer sign-up might be popular. Registration for the summer classes begins on March 27, and the class will run from May 30-August 7.
Below are links to the EMT program and the Care Forward Act information page.
