Hello Washington Families,
As we wrap up the first semester, we are excited about the growth we are seeing with our students! We just finished our winter reading and math assessments, and there is a lot to celebrate. The STEM night with the Works museum was incredibly fun! Thank you to all of you who came and explored with us.
As a school, we continue to work on following our We Are Washington expectations. We would love for you to partner with us by asking your student:

WINTER CONFERENCES
Conferences are coming up on February 13, 15, and 16. We are excited to meet with families and talk about the progress your student has made and the goals they have for the second half of the year! Use this LINK to schedule a 20 minute time to meet with your child's teacher. Please only sign up for one conference per child.
KINDERGARTEN REGISTRATION
Kindergarten registration for 2024-2025 is open from January 22 through February 25. Please visit isd761.org and click on “enrollment” to enroll your child.
How old does my child have to be before he/she can be registered for kindergarten?
In Minnesota, children are eligible to attend kindergarten when they are at least five years of age by September 1 of the year of entrance into kindergarten.
Does my child need to complete early childhood screening?
Yes, all incoming kindergarten students are required to complete Early Childhood Screening. Please contact 507-444-7900 to schedule an appointment.
How do I submit my child’s birth certificate and immunization records?
Child's birth certificate and immunization record must be uploaded in the online registration or dropped off at Roosevelt Community School during time of registration.
Special Note:
Using a cell phone to complete the online registration form is not recommended. If you do not have internet or a computer, you may schedule an appointment to go to Roosevelt Community School (122 East McKinley Street) to complete the online application.
BOOKFAIR

WASHINGTON LUAU DANCE
The Washington Luau Dance is scheduled for Friday, February, 9th from 7-9 pm! Please return the registration form and payment to your students teacher or the office by February 2nd. If you are interested in helping, please sign up HERE.
