CLF Awards
On May 25th, Chesapeake Lighthouse Foundation (CLF) hosted its annual awards banquet. This year marked the 20th anniversary of CLF. All CLF schools were represented and the awardees and their guests were hosted to a plated dinner and an evening of celebration. Congratulations to the CMIT North Middle School awardees!

Summer Programs
Register for the 9th Grade Summer Workshop
CMIT Academy North High School is waiting for you!
We invite all rising 9th graders who will attend CMIT North High School in the fall to join us for our 9th Grade Summer Workshop where we engage students in activities that will help them brush up on their math and reading skills and generally set themselves up for success in the high school.

Upcoming Events
8th Grade Field Trip
Attention all 8th Grade Parents!
We will be going on a field trip on June 5!
We will be taking a luncheon cruise on the Spirit of Baltimore. We will enjoy a private deck, buffet lunch, a live DJ for entertainment, unlimited soda, water, iced tea, and lots of games!
Parents please fill out the permission slip and send in your child's money ($80) by June 3! The amount covers the boat, activities, and transportation. Permission slip and money must be turned in at the same time.
**Students earning In or Out of School Suspension between May 12 and June 5th will not be permitted to participate in the field trip**

6th Grade Field Trip -National Air and Space Museum
The 6th-grade field trip to the National Air and Space Museum is now FULL.
Students that bring in a permission slip moving forward will be placed on a waiting list. If students are unable to go parents will be contacted in the order in which the permission slips were received.

8th Grade Promotion
Who: 8th Grade Students and Three (3) guests
What: 8th Grade Promotion Ceremony
When: June 12, 2023 @ 5pm
Where: CMIT North High School Gymnasium/14800 Sweitzer Ln, Laurel, MD 20707
Attire: Formal (Suit/Dress/Gown)
- Rehearsals will be on June 9th and June 12th during the school day. Students must attend at least one rehearsal.
- Tickets will be distributed June 9th.
- Students requiring Summer Credit Recovery to promote and students earning In or Out of School Suspension between 5/12 and 6/12 will not be permitted to participate.
