Upcoming K-12 Student Assembly - "Value Up" with Mike Donahue
Value Up Information...
Mike originally is from South Boston and has been actively speaking in schools for the last 25 years. His story originates from the unfortunate events of the Columbine Shooting. Mike was a youth pastor who then decided to make an impact in schools by speaking to students about their value.
Mike will break down his "assemblies" speaking to grades K-3 (respect), 4-5 (power words), 6-8, and 9-12. Following his assemblies, Mike will breakout with a leadership group for students who are involved, as well as a success academy in order to offer resources and support to some of our students.
After his work in the school, parents in our community will be allowed to come into our building to listen to Mike speak for an hour. Mike wrote a book "Talking to Brick Walls", where he goes through some of the added pressures adults can put on kids. (we will provide the time at a later date)
We are very excited to have this opportunity for our students!
